Further in the war over the proposed floating trailer park installation in the Victoria Harbour, an application for Judicial Review of the decisions has been filed in Federal Court of Canada. Applicants, the Dogwood Initiative and Tim Houlihan, claim the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities has erred in law and in jurisdiction by granting Federal approval for the project to proceed. The Minister of the Fisheries and Oceans and Community Marine Concepts, Inc are also named in the request for Judicial Review.

This Judicial Review is another attempt by the proponents, who are taking the thrust of the initiative of thousands of citizens, to see our society governed by common sense. Many are tired of the flow of decisions that appear to be made solely upon business interest and while at the detriment of the public who own the resource in the name of the crown.
